About
Meet Rob Prest
Rob Prest is an Advanced Care Paramedic in Ontario with over 10 years of experience in paramedicine. Throughout his career, he has been actively involved in clinical education, mentorship, and the development of paramedic learners at both the Primary Care Paramedic and Advanced Care Paramedic levels.
Rob has precepted numerous PCP and ACP students, supported practising clinicians in their professional development, received an award for excellence in precepting, taught within a Primary Care Paramedic program, and participated in the selection of students for preceptorship placements within his paramedic service. These experiences have given him a strong understanding of how paramedic learners progress from classroom education to clinical practice, and of the development required to become confident, practice-ready clinicians.
The Paramedic Playbook
The Paramedic Playbook was created to help paramedics and paramedic students better understand how the Ontario ALS PCS guides assessment, treatment, and clinical decision-making, while also strengthening the broader clinical knowledge that supports paramedic practice. The goal is to make complex clinical concepts easier to understand without compromising accuracy, professionalism, or respect for Ontario’s paramedic standards.
The platform is designed to be a practical educational resource for those looking to strengthen their understanding of paramedic practice in Ontario. As The Paramedic Playbook continues to grow, the goal is to expand it into a comprehensive learning resource that supports paramedics at different stages of their education and professional development.
